- Global Institute for Research and Nature Conservation
Introduction
The Global Institute for Research and Nature Conservation (GIRNC), established in 2009, is dedicated to advancing the understanding, conservation, and sustainable use of plant biodiversity, with a particular focus on the rich flora of Nepal.
Our mission encompasses groundbreaking research on economic, medicinal, and non-flowering plants, as well as ethnobotanical studies, bridging scientific knowledge and practical applications.
We collaborate with local communities, industries, and conservationists to improve access to plant-based medicines, food, fibers, and building materials.
GIRNC is committed to promoting sustainable practices that benefit both people and the environment. We encourage and support students, teachers, young researchers, and volunteers through journals, conferences, and research projects. Additionally, we provide consultation services to government authorities to develop effective public policies.
